The book title: Tourism is a missed opportunity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ex – Saudi Arabian Airlines Staff
When we think of tourism in the Arab region, we usually imagine the Egyptian pyramids, the luxury resorts in Dubai, the Qatar Museums, and the cedars in the mountains of Lebanon. As for the desert kingdom in Saudi Arabia, it rarely, if ever, comes to mind.
For most people, Saudi Arabia is known for its wealth and oil wells, not its heritage or potential tourist sites. But this largest Arab country in West Asia actually has a wide variety of tourist attractions.
From the turquoise waters of the Red Sea to the exceptional scenery of Mada’in Saleh, from the windy mountains of Asir National Park to the captivating beauty of the Empty Quarter, Saudi Arabia has real potential to launch a world-famous tourism sector. However complex visa procedures and the absence of supportive official policy make this sector out of reach for most international tourists.
